Full description

Epsilon is looking for an experienced environmental professional to lead and manage permitting and ecological survey efforts for energy and infrastructure projects within Massachusetts and surrounding states. If you're passionate about meaningful work, environmental permitting, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams on a wide range of energy projects, this position is for you!

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and manage federal, state and local environmental permitting efforts with an emphasis on the Clean Water Act, MA Wetlands Protection Act and municipal wetlands protection bylaws;
  • Assist with business development and client management;
  • Oversee and conduct complex wetland delineations and ecological field work;
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance during construction;
  • Represent clients and Epsilon at public meetings, agency workshops, and stakeholder sessions; and
  • Mentor junior staff.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds a BS degree or higher and 5 to 15 years of relevant experience in environmental/wetland science, biology, or a related natural resource discipline;
  • Has demonstrated experience with environmental permitting in Massachusetts (WPA, 401 WQC, 404 Permits, MESA, Chapter 91, etc.) and other New England States;
  • Understands energy markets and utility-scale development (electric transmission / distribution, wind, solar, battery storage, etc.);
  • Professional certification(s) such as PWS, NH CWS, CT Certified Soil Scientist a plus;
  • Is collaborative, detail-oriented, and ready to make a difference on a daily basis

Salary Range: 

Epsilon's pay range for the base salary of this position is 85,000-130,000 USD per year. This salary is commensurate with experience. Epsilon Associates, Inc. reserves the right to pay outside of this range dependent on job related factors including but not limited to credentials, experience, skill, and geographic location.
