Senior Engineering Manager – Industrial Equipment Manufacturing

Corona, California | On-Site

An established industrial equipment manufacturer is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead both mechanical and electrical engineering operations within a highly specialized manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in capital equipment, industrial automation, and advanced manufacturing systems.

This role will oversee engineering strategy, product innovation, automation initiatives, and technical operations supporting complex equipment used across aerospace, energy, additive manufacturing, and precision manufacturing industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Mechanical and Electrical Engineering teams across multiple projects and initiatives
  • Drive engineering strategy, product development, innovation, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Collaborate with sales, project management, and manufacturing teams to develop customer-focused solutions
  • Oversee equipment design, automation systems, controls integration, and manufacturing process improvements
  • Ensure engineering designs meet internal standards, customer specifications, and industry requirements
  • Support advanced engineering activities including FEA, CFD, process optimization, and technical analysis
  • Manage engineering resources, project priorities, budgets, and departmental performance
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency, product reliability, and automation capabilities
  • Participate in customer technical reviews, engineering presentations, and project discussions
  • Mentor and develop engineering staff while fostering a high-performance engineering culture

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required
  • 7+ years of experience within industrial machinery or capital equipment manufacturing environments
  • Prior experience working for a manufacturer or builder of industrial capital equipment is required
  • 3+ years of engineering leadership or management experience
  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation, controls systems, and electrical equipment
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and instrumentation
  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC platforms and related software preferred
  • Experience using CAD software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Mechanical engineering exposure or cross-functional engineering experience preferred

Preferred Technical Experience:

  • Industrial automation systems
  • PLC programming and controls integration
  • Allen Bradley 500/5000 platforms
  • SCADA and HMI systems
  • Wonderware and related industrial software
  • Advanced manufacturing and process improvement initiatives
  • Heat treatment or industrial processing equipment environments preferred
