Analytics Engineer | Role Description:

As an Analytics Engineer at 7Rivers, you will be the bridge between data engineering and data analysis. You will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into powerful, business-ready insights. We need someone who is not only proficient in building visually compelling data visualizations but also has a deep understanding of the engineering side of analytics, including data migration, manipulation, and transformation.

In this role, you will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to design and implement scalable data solutions that drive business impact. Your work will be central to helping our clients leverage their data to make informed decisions and gain a competitive edge.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Design and build interactive, intuitive, and aesthetically pleasing dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

·         Work closely with data engineers to ensure data pipelines are optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability. Participate in the design and implementation of ETL processes.

·         Lead the migration of data from legacy systems to modern data platforms, ensuring data integrity and minimizing downtime.

·         Perform complex data transformations to prepare data for analysis, including cleaning, aggregating, and integrating data from multiple sources.

·         Partner with data scientists to develop and deploy machine learning models, and with software engineers to integrate analytics into AI-infused applications.

·         Stay up to date with the latest technologies and best practices in data engineering, analytics, and AI to continuously improve our solutions.

·         Apply your analytical skills to solve complex data challenges and provide actionable insights to clients.

 

Key Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.

·         5+ years of experience in an analytics engineering or similar role, with a strong background in both data visualization and data engineering.

·         Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R. Strong experience with Snowflake deploying solutions across cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) as well as experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).

·         Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, and data engineering tools like Apache Airflow, dbt, and Coalesce.

·         Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex datasets to derive actionable insights.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

·         Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
