CDM has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer / Architect to support the ITMN Tactical Network. The Senior Network Engineer / Architect will support the implementation, optimization, and continued evolution of the ITMN Tactical Network infrastructure for SOCPAC. This senior-level technical role requires deep expertise in Cisco enterprise, service provider, and security technologies, hands-on network engineering experience, and the ability to work in highly classified DoD environments. The engineer will act as a technical leader, providing routing, switching, security, and SD‑WAN guidance across the SOCPAC network ecosystem.

 

This is a full-time position located in Honolulu, Hawaii

 

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, optimize, and troubleshoot complex Cisco-based network infrastructure supporting ITMN mission requirements.
  • Provide expert-level engineering across routing, switching, segmentation, security, transport, and WAN edge technologies.
  • Implement and tune advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IS‑IS) and MPLS-based architectures.
  • Develop and maintain route maps, prefix lists, PBR configurations, and route redistribution strategies.
  • Support SD‑WAN deployments, policy updates, and lifecycle maintenance.
  • Manage and configure Cisco IOS/XE/XR systems, Cisco Nexus platforms, Cisco ASA/FTD firewalls, and Cisco FMC.
  • Implement VPN technologies and segmentation strategies suitable for highly classified mission environments.
  • Collaborate closely with SOCPAC stakeholders, Peraton, and internal mission partners to ensure network reliability, resilience, and alignment with operational needs.
  • Provide senior-level troubleshooting, analysis, documentation, and knowledge transfer.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS w/SCI eligibility.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline) preferred but not required

Certifications: Cisco CCIE certification in one of the following disciplines:

  • Enterprise Infrastructure
  • Routing & Switching
  • Security
  • Service Provider

Years of Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of technical engineering experience to include:

  • 8+ years hands-on Cisco network engineering experience, including designing, building, and maintaining complex DoD or government networks.
  • Expert‑level knowledge of:

 • BGP

  •  • OSPF
  •  • EIGRP
  •  • IS‑IS
  •  • MPLS
  •  • Route Maps
  •  • Prefix Lists
  •  • Policy-Based Routing (PBR)
  •  • Route Redistribution
  •  
  • Experience with SD‑WAN (Cisco preferred)
  • Strong understanding of:

 • Cisco IOS / XE / XR

  •  • Cisco Nexus switching platforms
  •  • Cisco ASA / FTD Firewalls

  • Experience supporting classified government or DoD environments
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
  • IAT Level II Certification

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $190,000 to $225,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
