Description
Metropolitan Companies is looking for a Database Administrator to join our team! The Database administrator is responsible for analyzing and maintaining data from vendors. This is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate looking to enter the workforce. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain process maps and pricing data from vendors.
- Coordinate the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database servers and applications.
- Analyze and identify errors presented in databases and applications, in turn determine the root cause and possible solutions.
- Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner.
- Provide proactive and reactive data management support.
- Coordinate and communicate with vendor IT departments.
- Perform other duties as needed.

- Ability to organize/analyze large volumes of data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to function well in a team environment, display professional maturity and interact with all levels of management.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, including the ability to make clear and timely decisions.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree ideal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with the ability to quickly learn various in-house software applications.
- Aptitude to work with minimal supervision, set goals, create, and implement action plans and monitor progress towards goals.
- Prior experience in IT related role.
