Job Requirements Job Title: Senior Manager – Strategic Marketing & Communications

Place of Work: Mumbai

Function: Credit Cards

Job Purpose

We are looking for a marketing professional who can operate at the intersection of strategic communications, customer experience and cross-functional program delivery. The role owns high-visibility marketing and communication initiatives end-to-end — from defining the problem and shaping the narrative to aligning senior stakeholders and driving execution to closure. It acts as a strategic extension of the Marketing Communications function, enabling the team to take on larger, more complex programs while maintaining a high bar on customer communication quality.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

Communication & Content Strategy

·        Own the communication strategy for major product launches, portfolio initiatives and customer journeys, including messaging frameworks and customer-first narratives across touchpoints.

·        Set the content strategy for large customer communication programs, partnering with the execution team on day-to-day production.

·        Review and elevate customer-facing communication, balancing customer experience, business objectives, brand standards and regulatory requirements.

Program Delivery

·        Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through execution and closure.

·        Build workplans, milestones, ownership structures and governance mechanisms, and keep multiple workstreams moving.

·        Identify risks, blockers and dependencies early and drive them to resolution.

Stakeholder Management & Executive Communication

·        Build trusted relationships across the Credit Cards business and central functions — Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal and CX.

·        Represent Marketing Communications in senior forums and drive alignment where priorities, timelines or perspectives differ.

·        Develop executive-ready presentations, strategy documents and decision papers that translate complex data and customer insight into simple, compelling narratives.

Agency & Team Leadership

·        Lead senior-level agency relationships — setting strategic direction and briefs rather than executional feedback — and hold partners accountable for quality, speed and impact.

·        Mentor junior team members on structured problem solving, stakeholder management and executive storytelling.

·        Create repeatable frameworks, templates and ways of working that improve team effectiveness.

Secondary Roles & Responsibilities

·        Thinks like a consultant, communicates like a marketer, executes like an operator.

·        Can independently build an executive presentation or strategy narrative with minimal direction.

·        Holds their own with senior leaders and brings a point of view, not just execution support.

·        Comfortable with ambiguity, competing priorities and fast-moving environments.

·        Zooms out to the strategic picture and in on execution detail as required.

Educational Qualifications

MBA / PGDM from a leading business school preferred, with a strong undergraduate academic record.

Experience

·        5–7 years in marketing, product marketing, brand, strategic communications, consulting or program management.

·        Experience working with senior leadership and complex cross-functional teams.

·        Banking, Financial Services, FinTech or Insurance experience preferred, not mandatory.
