Job Title

Treasury Business Analyst

Banesco USA is seeking a Treasury Business Analyst for our Treasury business unit.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Process Redesign & Documentation: Partner with the Treasury Manager, Sr. Liquidity Analyst, Investment Portfolio Manager, and Investment Accounting/Treasury Operations to map current processes, identify inefficiencies, redesign workflows, and revamp and standardize documentation and procedures across the unit.
  • Cross-Functional Learning & Collaboration: Build first-hand working knowledge of interest rate risk management, liquidity management, and investment portfolio management by collaborating directly with each function; serve as a connective resource across the Treasury team.
  • Savings & Income Initiatives: Identify, structure, and spearhead projects aimed at generating cost savings or new income opportunities for the bank.
  • Business Unit Support & New Products: Partner with business units to support the development and launch of new products and services, contributing analysis, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Pricing Support: Support pricing analysis for deposit and loan products, working with relevant stakeholders on rate-setting and profitability considerations.
  • Research & Continuous Improvement: Research and apply AI tools and other resourceful approaches to improve processes, analysis, and reporting across Treasury; bring back and share better ways of doing things.
  • Reporting & Materials: Prepare clear, well-organized documentation, presentations, and reports for the Treasurer and other stakeholders.
  • Special Projects: Take on ad hoc initiatives and cross-functional projects as directed by the Treasurer.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: two (2) to four (4) years of professional experience in the Banking industry.
  • Demonstrated experience redesigning or improving business processes and documentation.
  • Proficient using AI tools to research and improve ways of working — non-negotiable.
  • Expert-level Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills — must-have.
  • Highly organized and structured, with strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple initiatives with minimal supervision.
  • Resourceful and curious, with a genuine interest in learning how things work and identifying better ways to do them; willing to learn.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across functions and with business units.
  • Familiarity with banking/treasury concepts (interest rate risk, liquidity management, investments) is a plus, not required.
  • Must be fluent in English. Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently under minimum supervision and being a proactive learner.
