Job Description:

Associate Investment Data Analyst

Location: Dublin

Working Hours: 8.30am-5pm

The Team

The Global Data Services (GDS) team within Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) is a global, investment data management organization that specializes in the sourcing, analysis, integration, management and distribution of security, index, and portfolio data. GDS provides these data services for reference, evaluative, performance and analytical data in support of global investment decision making organizations.  Data Management Operations (DMO), a division of GDS, specializes in managing, integrating and validating vendor and Fidelity-defined data associated with investment entities (securities, issues, brokers, funds, portfolios and index data).

 

The Role

The Associate Investment Data Analyst will perform critical functions to support daily operations. Including performing detailed data analysis, identifying and resolving data issues. Quality, accuracy, and timeliness are critical to the success of this function. We are seeking a highly motivated and responsive team player who can handle tasks across multiple helpdesks and has excellent analytic skills. Our work is highly collaborative and involves close coordination and excellent communication with our internal clients, market data vendors and key business and technology partners across Fidelity.

 

The Expertise You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance or related field
  • 2+ years’ experience working in an Operations, Business Analysis, and/or Data Analyst role
  • Financial Services Industry experience working with reference data preferred
  • Experience working with Bloomberg and/or Morningstar vendors preferred
  • Ability to look at data with a critical eye and attention to detail.

  • Identify data issues, perform root cause analysis and resolve data quality issues. When needed, work with business partners and systems partners to resolve.
  • Financial Services experience within Data Analytics and Project Management a plus
  • Handle varied projects/initiatives from straight forward to complex
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently with various resources/business partners across the organization
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent MS Excel skills
  • Knowledge of SQL is a distinct advantage, but not essential
