Full description
About Motorq
Motorq is the leading connected vehicle intelligence platform, processing over 5 million trip miles and 500 million data points per day. We aggregate data directly from automotive OEM APIs — no hardware required — and deliver it as structured insights and automated workflows to fleet operators, lenders, rental companies, and automotive partners.
Headquartered in the SF Bay Area with offices in Chennai, Bengaluru, and Seattle, Motorq has raised a $40M+ Series B and is growing rapidly across new geographies and use cases. We're part of the Stanford StartX community and deeply partnered with leading automotive OEMs.
The Role
Every product Motorq ships — from safety and utilization insights to our emerging AI-powered agentic workflows — depends on the breadth, depth, and quality of the data flowing in underneath it. That data layer is a platform in its own right, and it's the foundation multiple industries build on: fleet operators, lenders, rental companies, insurers, and automotive OEMs all depend on it being complete, reliable, and fast.
We're looking for a Platform Product Manager – Data Integrations to own and grow that foundation. You'll decide which OEMs, telematics devices, and automotive-adjacent data sources we integrate next, and you'll be judged on a simple outcome: whether the data and insights this layer produces are good enough to be the critical foundation our AI-powered products, and our customers across the mobility ecosystem, can build on with confidence.
This is a platform role, not a single-feature role — you're extending the surface area of what Motorq can see and know about a vehicle, and every integration you land compounds the value of every product built on top of it.
Key Responsibilities
- Expand the data platform — grow Motorq's data integrations across automotive OEMs, aftermarket telematics devices, and automotive-adjacent data sets (e.g. registration, insurance, parts, and other ecosystem data) to widen the vehicle and fleet insights Motorq can offer.
- Define and prioritize the integrations roadmap — assess new OEM, device, and data-partner opportunities against customer demand, data quality potential, and platform leverage, and sequence them accordingly.
- Own data quality as a product outcome — define what 'high-quality' means for each integration (coverage, accuracy, latency, completeness), set measurable targets, and drive the roadmap that gets us there.
- Fuel the AI product layer — partner closely with the AI product and Data Science teams to ensure the data foundation you build is structured, reliable, and rich enough to power Motorq's AI-driven insight engines and agentic workflows.
- Deliver clear product requirements — translate OEM data structures, partner capabilities, and customer needs into well-documented specs that Engineering and Data Science can build against.
- Drive ecosystem impact — understand how the data you bring online changes outcomes for customers across fleet, lending, rental, and OEM segments, and use that impact to guide what gets built next.
Qualifications
Experience
- 2+ years in a product, engineering, or data-focused role, ideally on a data-integration, platform, or data-enabled product
- Experience working with or alongside automotive, telematics, or connected-device data is a strong plus
Skills
- Analytical — comfortable reading data, defining data-quality metrics, and building a case from evidence
- Platform mindset — thinks in terms of reusable data foundations and downstream leverage, not one-off features
- Customer-oriented — connects data and integration decisions back to real impact for customers and the broader mobility ecosystem
- Clear written and verbal communication — able to write tight specs and align technical and business stakeholders
- Collaborative — builds strong working relationships with OEM and data partners, Engineering, Data Science, and Product
