Full description

Your mission

  • Taking ownership of the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for an assigned portfolio of several commercial properties
  • Reviewing and reconciling quarterly financial results for individual SPVs
  • Analyzing the P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements of the companies, identifying key trends, irregularities and areas requiring clarification
  • Analyzing the performance of individual properties in close cooperation with Asset Managers and Property Managers
  • Performing budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual variance analyses and preparing clear business commentary on the most significant differences
  • Monitoring the implementation of financial plans, comparing actual results with projections and explaining variances
  • Preparing periodic reporting packages in accordance with local and group reporting standards
  • Ensuring the consistency of data across accounting and financial systems and operational reports
  • Working closely with accounting teams during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
  • Preparing financial information and analyses for local management, investors, and group functions
  • Participating in the budgeting and forecasting process for assigned SPVs and properties, including the development of annual budgets, budget updates, forecasts, and long-term plans
  • Proactively identifying irregularities, risks, and areas requiring clarification and initiating corrective actions
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of reporting, financial processes, and internal controls
  • Preparing periodic reports, profitability analyses, and income statements for management;
  • Monitoring the cash flows, liquidity and financial performance of assigned SPVs and identifying potential risks or funding requirements
  • Performing other ad hoc analyses, reports and tasks in the areas of controlling and finance

Your profile

  • We are looking for a candidate with at least 3 years of professional experience in financial controlling, accounting, audit or a comparable role
  • Very good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Previous experience in commercial real estate is highly preferred; alternatively, experience in audit, accounting or financial advisory with exposure to real estate clients would be an advantage
  • Ability to analyze P&L statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements
  • Experience working with multiple entities, SPVs, or investment structures simultaneously would be an advantage
  • Very strong analytical skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to data quality
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and confidence in working with financial data sets
  • Proficiency in English sufficient to collaborate effectively within an international organization; knowledge of German would be an additional advantage
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to identify issues, investigate their causes, and follow through on corrective actions
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, effectively prioritize tasks and adhere to closing and reporting schedules
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, international, and hands-on environment where responsibilities may extend beyond standard controlling tasks
