Senior/Expert Java Developer

Location: Warsaw, Gdańsk, or Gdynia (Poland)

Work Model: Hybrid (min. 60% office presence)

Rate: Up to 160 PLN/h net + VAT (B2B)

About the Project:

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join our client, a prominent organization in the banking sector. You will be part of a newly created Scrum team working alongside experienced colleagues to develop new services and solutions in the Embedded Banking Service Domain (Payments Service Area).

Please note: Optiveum is the recruitment and contracting party for this position. The chosen candidate will sign a cooperation agreement directly with Optiveum.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Developing new services and solutions within the Embedded Banking Service Domain.
  • Building distributed, highly available, and high-throughput applications.
  • Collaborating closely within a newly formed agile Scrum team.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of proven experience in Java software development.
  • Hands-on experience developing Microservices.
  • Solid background with the Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
  • Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL and/or Db2).
  • Familiarity with building distributed, highly available applications.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
  • Practical knowledge of modern tools and technologies including Kafka, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, REST APIs, Maven, and JUnit.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of Specification-Driven Development (SDD) and SDD frameworks.
