What you'll do

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer who is eager to contribute to a growing, fast-paced team! Our ideal candidate will have a background in Information Assurance (IA) and Cybersecurity frameworks, as well as IT infrastructure experience including route and switch, firewall, server provisioning, virtualization, and container architecture. In this role you'll support government projects helping to secure products and systems around the globe.

The day-to-day

This is a multidisciplinary role spanning Cybersecurity and IA, Windows and Linux administration, network administration, security requirements analysis, and system integration testing. You will work with the product development team to ensure secure architecture and compliance with all security requirements. This role also includes responsibilities in the system test domain where you will validate system security and functionality.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and/or implement secure architectures
  • Act as a central cybersecurity resource across multiple projects and programs, and act as a cybersecurity lead for larger efforts
  • Create documentation to track vulnerabilities and remediations, populate security packages, and present program security status
  • Provide technical and policy guidance that will enable successful security accreditation efforts
  • Manage system security requirements
  • Manage and configure firewalls, routers, and switches
  • Validate and test security functionality

What you'll need

  • 10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Engineering, Information Assurance, secure systems/network administration, or similar discipline
  • Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining RMF packages, including designing and documenting security plans, policies, and procedures, and maintaining them in eMASS
  • Deep understanding of security compliance standards such as NIST 800-53, RMF, CMMC, CIS, or similar
  • Strong experience with cybersecurity defense and detection methodologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the DoD Zero Trust Framework
  • Good understanding of IT systems, centralized directory services, and IP networking
  • US citizenship and the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET security clearance is required
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

What will help you on the job

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Cybersecurity, or related engineering discipline
  • CCNA, JNCIA, or similar certification
  • CISSP or similar certification
  • Familiarity with securing cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Experience using vulnerability scanning platforms such as Nessus
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and timelines
  • Strong self-motivation and independent work ethic
  • The ability to work across a geographically distributed team

Salary range

$165,000.00 - $260,500.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $205,000.00- $307,000.00/ annually
