The Opportunity

We are hiring for a qualified Naturopath with Technical Writing and Pharmacy experience to join us as an Associate Learning Designer. This role is an excellent opportunity for a naturopath with blended experience in technical writing / education and previous retail experience to take a step into industry. In this educational focused role, you will use your technical background to create engaging content that Blackmores Group uses to educate our staff and customers. Applying subject matter knowledge and technical writing skills, you will write and produce digital and print training materials to educate people on Blackmores and BioCeuticals products and the healing power of nature.

This is a permanent part-time role (0.8 FTE). You are contracted to work four days, but the capacity to work five days (full-time, 1 FTE) is preferred. The position is based in Sydney, working at least 3 days per week in office (either Surry Hills or Warriewood) and 1 (or 2 days) day per week from home. While Sydney based is preferred, we are open to considering candidates who work across Victoria (to work from our Braeside Manufacturing Site), South Australia or Queensland.

What will you do?

  • Scope and create content to brief specifications - collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements and develop digital, print, and training education material to agreed briefs
  • Produce digital education content – create micro-courses, and related resources for pharmacy banner platforms, and our Australian and overseas Blackmores BeCertified programs
  • Produce training presentations – create PowerPoint presentations, facilitators guides, and related materials for use in virtual and face-to-face training of retail staff
  • Produce education reference tools – create a variety of print resources, including booklets, fact sheets, flyers, and infographics, to support product education
  • International education support – create a range of resources, including global education toolkits, to support Blackmores’ international market
  • Stakeholder collaboration – communicate and work well with internal staff in identifying education requirements and communicating best use of created resources

Who are you?

  • A qualified naturopath is preferred
  • Experience working front-of-store in a retail environment, preferably pharmacy, with exposure to delivering product training and education
  • Educator, trainer, or lecturer experience preferred but not essential
  • Possess relevant technical writing skills and be capable of making technical information easily understood by users
