Snowflake Data Engineer

We are seeking a Snowflake Data Engineer to join our development team. This individual will be responsible for hands-on building, enhancing, and supporting multiple high-volume data pipelines used by our client to process business critical order transaction data.
Preferred Location: Dallas, Texas area
What you’ll do:
- Data Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, and orchestration tools
- Data Modeling: Create and optimize star/snowflake schemas, ensuring data integrity and scalability
- SQL & Performance Tuning: Write complex SQL queries, optimize queries for performance, and troubleshoot issues
- Integration: Connect Snowflake with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and third-party tools (e.g., Alation, Power BI)
- Experience with dbt, Airflow, Python, Git, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
What you will bring:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with Snowflake
- Advanced SQL and Snowflake SQL
- ELT/ETL with dbt and orchestration
- Cloud platform proficiency
- Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and data visualization tools (Power BI, QlikSense, Superset)
- Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Java or Python
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
