Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Digital Solutions; the Manager, Software Engineering and Operations will design, build, and implement software solutions while leading and developing a team of engineers. This role combines hands-on full-stack development with team leadership and will be responsible for guiding and managing a team of engineers through long-term projects serving as the day-to-day contact for all items related to the software development process. This role will lead the development of new technologies and features, and implement, maintain, and enhance Careforth’s products. This role will oversee code maintenance, reviews, testing, and analysis, and deploy or implement software or product enhancements.
What You Will Do
- Take an active role in developing technical infrastructure and architecture plans
- Build systems adhering to coding and architectural standards
- Oversee the design and development of highly performant services for our frontend and/or backend
- Manage complex assignments with an architectural scope and oversee workload of engineering team
- Lead, coach and develop staff to ensure successful achievement of goals
- Design, select technology and implement features for the partner platform
- Full stack implementation of our partner platform apps (EmberJS) and APIs (Golang, Python)
- Collaborate and communicate with agile team through the entire software development cycle
- Implement APIs and integrations with external partners
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of experience working in an engineering role required with 2 years of experience in a people management capacity
- 5+ years writing full-stack SaaS applications
- Experience in SOA technologies and architecture with REST services highly desired
- Minimum 3 yrs experience either Golang, Java, Javascript, Terraform C++/C# or Python is required (Golang/Python a big plus)
- Experience in databases (knowledge of SQL) required; Postgres a plus
- Strong Linux knowledge a plus

The pay range for this position is $121,953 - $194,000. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
