The Graphic Designer will support the development of compelling visual content across our portfolio of furniture and home decor brands. This is an individual-contributor role focused on creating digital and print assets for ecommerce, websites, email campaigns, social media, marketplaces, advertising, packaging, and other marketing initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a thoughtful designer with strong visual judgment, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This position requires someone who can translate creative direction and brand standards into polished, engaging designs that support business and marketing goals.
Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design & Creative Production
- Design engaging digital and print assets for multiple furniture and home decor brands
- Create graphics for ecommerce websites, product pages, landing pages, email campaigns, social media, and digital advertising
- Develop marketplace images, promotional graphics, banners, infographics, and other product-focused visual content
- Support the design and production of catalogs, sales materials, presentations, signage, packaging, and printed collateral
- Produce layouts and creative concepts that communicate product features, benefits, and brand stories clearly
- Resize, adapt, and version creative assets for different channels, platforms, and campaign requirements
- Prepare final files for digital publishing and print production
- Ensure all designs meet established brand standards, technical specifications, and quality expectations
Brand & Content Development
- Help maintain visual consistency across Maxwood Furniture brands and customer touchpoints
- Collaborate with marketing, ecommerce, merchandising, product, and photography teams to develop creative content
- Assist with product launches, seasonal campaigns, promotions, and brand initiatives
- Help develop and maintain brand guidelines, templates, design systems, and reusable creative assets
- Provide creative recommendations based on current design, ecommerce, and home decor trends
- Support photo editing, image retouching, color correction, and basic image manipulation as needed
Project Management & Collaboration
- Manage multiple design projects and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Review creative briefs and ask thoughtful questions to clarify project goals and requirements
- Present design concepts and incorporate feedback from internal stakeholders
- Communicate project status, timelines, and potential issues effectively
- Organize design files and maintain accurate, accessible libraries of creative assets
- Coordinate with external vendors and production partners when needed
- Stay informed about design tools, creative trends, platform requirements, and ecommerce best practices
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience in visual/digital design or a related creative role (required minimum)
- Bachelor’s degree or coursework in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred
- Strong portfolio demonstrating digital, print, ecommerce, and marketing design experience
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Experience creating graphics for websites, email marketing, social media, online marketplaces, and digital advertising
- Strong understanding of typography, composition, color theory, layout, image editing, and visual hierarchy
- Knowledge of print production, file preparation, image resolution, and color specifications
- Experience working with brand guidelines and maintaining consistency across multiple brands preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to receive feedback, solve creative problems, and work independently when needed
- Experience in furniture, home decor, ecommerce, retail, or consumer products preferred
