Description

As a Car Experience Partner Engineer (embedded systems), your essential function is to ensure the flawless technical integration of Apple’s automotive technologies into next-generation vehicles. You will balance hands-on embedded software development with external partner management, acting as the technical authority for automotive developers.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in embedded software engineering, SDK development, or automotive systems integration. Experience writing production-quality code in C, C++, or Java. Experience troubleshooting complex embedded systems, ideally in areas of automotive systems. Experience analyzing complex communication logs and reproducing network or interoperability issues. Experience using agentic AI in code development, issue analysis, and reporting. Experience utilizing audio and video media codecs, handling streaming content, or routing audio/video inside embedded systems. Experience taking end-to-end ownership of a feature, product, or protocol from design to release. Experience engaging directly with external vendors, clients, or cross-functional teams to drive technical initiatives. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience integrating and certifying CarPlay (wired / wireless) or Digital Car Key (UWB vehicle access). Experience working within an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier environment. Experience performing Linux or Android Automotive platform bring-up activities. Experience navigating ambiguity, multitasking effectively, and consistently prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
