Responsible for defining and delivering Global PMS Capabilities & Integrations across the Next Generation Property Management System ecosystem, including multiple PMS platforms.
This role partners with business stakeholders, hotel operations teams, technology teams, architects, software developers, engineers, integration partners, and PMS vendors to develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for PMS capabilities, platform services, and integrations that support IHG's global hotel portfolio.
The Product Manager must operate effectively at both the strategic and tactical levels, identifying opportunities to standardize, scale, and optimize global PMS capabilities while enabling seamless integrations across the hospitality technology landscape. The role requires balancing long-term platform strategy with near-term business priorities to deliver measurable value to hotels, guests, owners, and corporate stakeholders.
The Product Manager owns the end-to-end lifecycle of global PMS capabilities and integrations, from ideation and discovery through delivery, adoption, optimization, and retirement. This includes governing capability standards, driving platform scalability and reusability, identifying opportunities for platform convergence and standardization, managing integration dependencies, and ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and supportability requirements.
Additionally, this role drives alignment across cross-functional teams and global stakeholders, influences vendor product roadmaps, supports business case development and product performance reviews, communicates product strategy and outcomes at all levels of the organization, and ensures PMS platforms and the broader integration ecosystem continue to evolve in support of IHG's strategic objectives and future growth.
Your day to day
- Lead the development and execution of the product strategy and roadmap for Global PMS Capabilities and Integrations, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives, hotel operational needs, and guest experience priorities across multiple PMS platforms.
- Define and prioritize PMS capabilities and integration requirements that support hotel operations, enterprise initiatives, and cross-functional business processes while balancing immediate delivery needs with long-term platform evolution.
- Own and manage the portfolio of PMS capabilities, platform services, and third-party integrations, driving roadmap decisions that maximize business value, operational efficiency, scalability, and adoption across global hotel brands and regions.
- Partner with business stakeholders, hotel operations teams, architecture, engineering, data, security, and vendor partners to identify opportunities, document requirements, and deliver integrated solutions that support enterprise and hotel objectives.
- Influence and drive PMS vendor roadmaps and integration partner development pipelines, advocating for IHG priorities and ensuring alignment to strategic capability needs, technical standards, and delivery timelines.
- Lead cross-functional teams through discovery, design, development, testing, deployment, and optimization of PMS capabilities and integrations, ensuring successful delivery of prioritized roadmap initiatives.
- Establish and maintain a holistic view of the PMS ecosystem, identifying capability gaps, integration dependencies, technical risks, and opportunities to standardize functionality across platforms and regions.
- Define and document business requirements, product specifications, process flows, acceptance criteria, and technical user stories required to support capability and integration delivery.
- Source and analyze operational, customer, hotel, and product performance data to drive decision-making, validate business outcomes, and prioritize future investments.
- Develop business cases, forecast value realization, and measure product performance through defined KPIs, leveraging insights to drive adoption, optimization, and continuous improvement.
- Proactively engage stakeholders across hotel operations, technology, commercial, loyalty, finance, support, and regional teams to ensure roadmap alignment and successful product adoption.
- Monitor industry trends, hospitality technology advancements, competitive offerings, and emerging integration opportunities to ensure PMS capabilities remain modern, scalable, and best-in-class.
- Manage the full product lifecycle for assigned PMS capabilities and integrations, continually assessing performance, stakeholder feedback, technical debt, and future business needs to prevent capability obsolescence
- Communicate product vision, strategy, roadmap progress, business value, release plans, and performance metrics to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, tailoring messaging appropriately for executive, business, and technical audiences.
- Drive integration governance and capability alignment across the PMS ecosystem, ensuring solutions meet enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and operational support requirements.
- Foster collaboration across product, delivery, engineering, architecture, operations, and vendor teams to remove impediments, accelerate decision-making, and maximize business value delivery.
- Provide regular status updates, roadmap reporting, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to leadership, PMO, and key stakeholders.
What we need from you
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, User Experience, Customer Experience, Statistics, Business, or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- 3-6 years of relevant work experience as a Product Manager in a modern software development company
- Skills & Technical Experience
- Expert knowledge of the IHG digital landscape as well as strong familiarity with competitors and other eCommerce websites to understand trends and best practices
- Able to recognize when and how to pivot with ease and effectively deliver.
- Demonstrated deep knowledge and understanding in a specific area of expertise including products.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, vendors, senior management and staff. Demonstrated ability to present new concepts, research findings, and business outcomes to various groups including corporate clients, senior management, potential vendors, and industry consultants.
- Demonstrated program management experience with modern, established product management processes in organizing, planning and executing projects from conception through implementation. Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks/clients required.
- Demonstrated experience in detailed product development discovery, documentation, and design work.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to perform research and use the results of analysis to make effective strategic decisions.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to adapt tactics and strategies to fast moving, rapidly evolving marketplace required
- Demonstrated ability to use prototyping or simulation in product creation
- Experience in formal requirements methodologies such as vision, scope, context, use cases, etc.
- Strong storyteller, is able to formulate cohesive messages with meaningful and impactful points that resonate with target audience.
- Demonstrated hotel industry knowledge reflecting the entire customer experience journey (reservations – stay – loyalty – on-property, and ongoing relationship management).
- Familiarity with AEM 6.5 Touch UI a plus
- Have an entrepreneurial spirit with a keen eye for identifying new market opportunities and transforming that into an actionable plan
