Business Analyst Intern

Hybrid Remote - 50-70% Travel Required to Client Sites through out the US. Salary Range: $20.00–$24.00 per hour (Based on qualifications and experience)EMI Services, a subsidiary of TechFlow Inc., is seeking a Business Analyst Intern to support our growing base operations and range maintenance programs. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business analysis, operations, fleet management, process improvement, and enterprise asset management while working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic government contracting environment.

As the Intern, you will support meaningful projects that have a direct impact on program operations and business performance. A significant focus of this role will be supporting fleet management initiatives, including conducting vehicle inventories across multiple project sites and evaluating how vehicle maintenance is being managed. The position will involve regular travel to project locations nationwide, providing exposure to different operations, teams, and business environments.

This is a remote position when not traveling and requires approximately 50–70% travel to project sites across the country. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads effort to get 100% accurate vehicle and heavy equipment inventory across multiple project sites, documenting vehicle types, quantities, locations, condition, utilization, and other relevant asset information.
  • Travel to multiple sites to assess how vehicle maintenance is being managed, including maintenance scheduling, preventive maintenance practices, repair processes, documentation, vendor coordination, and overall fleet condition.
  • Review and analyze vehicle and maintenance data to identify trends, gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Leads effort to develop and implement standardize maintenance plan for vehicles and records keeping across the company.
  • Set up, monitor, and support GPS tracking devices used on program vehicles.
  • Assist with the implementation of new enterprise asset management software, including asset data collection, validation, testing, and process documentation.
  • Assist with gathering, documenting, and analyzing business requirements from stakeholders across multiple project sites and functional areas.
  • Conduct research and data analysis to identify business trends, operational efficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of business solutions and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with site personnel, program leadership, and cross-functional teams to support successful project execution.
  • Create and maintain documentation of business processes, procedures, fleet information, maintenance activities, and project findings.
  • Assist with testing and quality assurance activities related to business processes, systems, and enterprise asset management tools.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and other materials to communicate findings, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support additional operational, back-office, and business development projects as assigned.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and present data effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with teams across multiple locations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50–70% to project sites nationwide.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel by vehicle and air as required.
  • Interest in operations, fleet management, business analysis, process improvement, or technology solutions is highly desirable.
