DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote-friendly; preference for candidates within commuting distance of Buffalo, NY for occasional in-person collaboration. Travel may be required for industry events or strategic meetings.

Position Overview:

CoachMePlus is now hiring a Senior DevOps/Infra Engineer to join our team in support of an exciting DoW human performance platform product support initiative. The position may require a government security clearance to be processed, so US or Naturalized Citizenship is a requirement for consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

● CI/CD & Automation: Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) for quick, reliable deployments.

● Cloud Infrastructure Management: Deploy, manage, and optimize scalable AWS cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

● Monitoring & Reliability: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (CloudWatch, Splunk) to ensure high availability and performance.

● Security (DevSecOps): Integrate security best practices and tools into the pipeline and infrastructure.

● Collaboration & Mentorship: Bridge Dev and Ops teams, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior engineers.

● Incident Response: Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution for production issues.

● Strategy & Documentation: Define DevOps strategy, create roadmaps, and document processes and procedures.

● Enforce best practices for DevOps infrastructure and system documentation.

● Organize work plans, estimate tasks, and deliver finished projects to meet important deadlines.

● Troubleshoot issues and provide assistance to other developers, sales staff and customers.

● Communicate effectively, both verbally and written, to various technical and non-technical audiences.

● Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

● US Citizenship required

● 8+ years of DevSecOps experience, including experience as a senior team resource

● 4+ years of AWS Cloud management experience, preferably commercial and GovCloud

● Extensive experience with NIST security best practices ang the DoD SRG.

● Ability to architect solutions to complex problems using industry-standard open-source frameworks

● Experience working on a large enterprise platform with thousands of users

● Experience scaling software platforms from limited specialty use to broad user adoption

● Code versioning with Git with ability to interactively rebase

● Ability to test and review the code of your peers

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $120,000 – $160,000 annually
