About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategy & Architecture, the role is responsible for providing application and data interface design, development and testing expertise for ST Vic Salesforce platforms and connected systems, facilitating the delivery of a consolidated regulatory platform that is scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

The responsibilities of the Backend Salesforce Developer will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain the integrity of the Salesforce platform, including contributing to best practice management of technical design, data models, configuration, solution architecture and technical documentation.
  • Undertake development activities and work with appropriate design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and ensure they are applied effectively.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of projects by following project plans, working collaboratively with diverse teams and communicating progress to internal stakeholders and external vendors throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will bring strong demonstrated experience working as a senior Salesforce Backend Developer with experience in enterprise platforms and data sets, is confident translating business needs to technical design, and is experienced working alongside business users to create efficient applications.

About You

You will have proven experience as a Senior Developer working in Salesforce with skills in Public Sector Solutions, Service Cloud and Omniscript. You will demonstrate a strong business partnering approach and a solutions-focused mindset. Your ability to unite diverse stakeholders on complex development projects and skilfully navigate competing objectives will be essential in achieving innovative outcomes.

You are motivated to work in and be a part of purpose-driven organisation and deliver outcomes that benefit the community. You are comfortable working in a structured and government environment where everything we do is assessed against how we add value and respond to the needs of the community.

Qualifications

Mandatory:

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II (Apex, data model, triggers)
  • Salesforce Certified Integration Architecture Designer

Desirable:

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline is desirable.
  • Agile or Scrum qualifications desirable.
