Full description

Implement and deploy applications software, providing staff support and training, ensuring regulatory compliance and data security, analyzing data for operational insights, monitoring application performance, safeguarding patient privacy, to support aligning IT solutions with clinical needs and improve healthcare delivery.

Accountabilities

  • Support in developing new applications or customizing existing ones to meet the unique needs of the retail industry, for assigned applications.
  • Act as level 2 support for assigned applications with end users making sure any bugs or errors are resolved within agreed SLAs to meet internal customer needs.
  • Analyzing the specific requirements of end users and support in designing solutions that meet their needs and streamline required processes, improve patient care, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support in the implementation of new software applications or major updates on assigned applications, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations and compatibility with existing systems. Utilize IT data for analysis and reporting purposes, to use to spot areas of development or any operating inefficiencies.
  • Collaborating with vendors that provide specialized applications support, ensuring that these tools meet the specific needs of the end user.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of applications, ensuring they meet the demands of a fast-paced retail environment and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensuring patient privacy is maintained in all applications, with strict adherence to confidentiality and data protection best practices to maintain patient privacy.
  • Staying abreast of technological advancements in both the IT and pharmacy sectors, exploring innovative solutions like tele pharmacy, mobile health apps, and AI-driven tools to stay updated with technological advancements and explore innovative solutions.
  • Collaborating with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure that IT solutions align with business needs and facilitate effective healthcare delivery

Job Requirements

Education: BSc in IT (preferably in MIS Systems Design) or related field.

Experience: 3+ years in an IT applications function with preference for retail or related industry.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in specific store applications and general retail systems.
  • Proficiency in languages such as SQL, Java, Python, or .NET
  • Skills in database technologies like SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL
  • Knowledge of various phases of SDLC
  • Familiarity with common ERP and CRM platforms, such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce
  • Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI
  • Understanding of various operating systems like Windows, Linux
