The Salesforce CRM Administrator will serve as the operational owner of the University's Salesforce platform capabilities. This role independently owns and executes platform administration, Education Cloud feature delivery, Agentforce AI configuration, data management, and reporting ensuring the CRM environment operates reliably, securely, and in alignment with institutional standards.

This position reports directly to the Sr. Director of Applications and partners closely with the Solutions Architect, other Salesforce Admins and implementation partners to deliver program outcomes consistent with Herzing University's AI Governance Policy.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of Salesforce Administration experience, with demonstrated ownership of platform capabilities.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce and core configuration tools: Flows, permission sets, reports, and dashboards.
  • Experience with data migration execution and education-focused reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Hands-on exposure to Agentforce or Einstein AI tools.
  • Knowledge of higher education processes and Salesforce data and reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of CRM-related business processes including Campaign Management, Lead Management, Pipeline Management, and Account Management.
  • Experience working with implementation partners and vendor management.
  • Strong knowledge of SOQL.

Preferred:

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM-201).
  • Experience delivering Salesforce Education Cloud features or configurations.
  • Master’s degree.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of project management methods and standards.
  • ITIL experience desired.

COMPENSATION is determined based on the qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire. It is uncommon for new employees to start near the top of the salary range. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a tuition waiver and reimbursement program, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan. The salary range for this position is $117,300 to $158,700.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Platform Administration
  • Configure and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, workflows, and automations per approved requirements.
  • Own user account management, profiles, permission sets, and role hierarchies.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical configurations, including Flow-based automation.
  • Identify and escalate technical debt, platform risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve or escalate as appropriate.
  • Maintain complete documentation of configurations, processes, and system changes.
  • Support integration processes using APIs, web services, and third-party integration tools, in partnership with the Solutions Architect.
  • Develop a working understanding of the university's enterprise ecosystem, including how Dialer, SIS, and Regent (Financial Aid) integrate with Salesforce.
  • Apply agile delivery practices to manage competing requirements..
  • Agentforce & AI
  • Configure and deploy Agentforce AI capabilities in partnership with the implementation team and Solutions Architect.
  • Execute identified Agentforce use cases in collaboration with business leaders and the implementation partner.
  • Support AI configurations to meet institutional standards for accuracy, compliance, and user trust.
  • Execute test cases and validation steps for AI agent configurations; support post-deployment monitoring.
  • Contribute to AI governance documentation, audit readiness, and compliance reviews consistent with Herzing's AI Governance Policy.
  • Data Management & Reporting
  • Execute data migration activities, including field mapping, validation, testing, and reconciliation, in partnership with the Solutions Architect.
  • Support data integrity across Education Cloud, Agentforce, and integrated systems.
  • Own the design and delivery of reports, dashboards, and operational insights supporting education, enrollment, and student lifecycle use cases.
  • Maintain data quality standards and proactively resolve data integrity issues.
  • User Support & Enablement
  • Partner with other CRM admins, federal work study, and help desk to support end user issues.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on platform features and processes.
  • Create and maintain user-facing documentation and job aids.
  • Governance, Security & Compliance
  • Ensure all configurations align with FERPA, institutional data governance, and security requirements.
  • Support platform compliance reviews and audit activities.
  • Follow and enforce established change management, testing, and documentation standards.
