Database Administrator (part time)

As our portfolio continues to expand, we are growing our international teams with talented professionals who want to contribute to large-scale digital transformation initiatives. We are currently looking for a Database Administrator to join an international UEFA project, supporting the design and operation of distributed, service-oriented data environments. The role focuses on cloud-native databases, multi-cloud architectures, data consistency, performance and automation, working across Azure, AWS and Alibaba Cloud environments.

What you will do:

• Design and operate distributed database architectures supporting microservices
• Manage relational and non-relational databases across cloud and hybrid environments
• Support database platforms across Azure, AWS and Alibaba Cloud
• Ensure data integrity, synchronization and event-based data propagation
• Automate database provisioning and operations using IaC and CI/CD
• Implement monitoring, backup, HA/DR and performance tuning
• Support data governance and master data consistency
• Collaborate with Security teams on data protection and compliance

Technical Skills required:

• At least 5+ years of experience in IT & relevant roles.
• Strong experience with cloud-native and distributed databases
• Experience in multi-cloud and hybrid architectures
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Azure SQL and MongoDB / Mongo Atlas or equivalent
• Experience with event-driven data architectures and Master Data Management (MDM)
• Knowledge of multi-cloud database deployment patterns
• Strong automation and DevOps mindset

Experience in the following will be considered as an asset:

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• CI/CD and database automation
• High Availability / Disaster Recovery environments
• Cloud database performance optimisation
• Experience working in complex, multi-cloud environments
