Sword Services Greece is an IT Services and Software Solutions provider, delivering innovative solutions to European public sector Organizations and leading private companies. As our portfolio continues to expand, we are growing our international teams with talented professionals who want to contribute to large-scale digital transformation initiatives. We are currently looking for a Database Administrator to join an international UEFA project, supporting the design and operation of distributed, service-oriented data environments. The role focuses on cloud-native databases, multi-cloud architectures, data consistency, performance and automation, working across Azure, AWS and Alibaba Cloud environments.

What you will do:

  • Design and operate distributed database architectures supporting microservices
  • Manage relational and non-relational databases across cloud and hybrid environments
  • Support database platforms across Azure, AWS and Alibaba Cloud
  • Ensure data integrity, synchronization and event-based data propagation
  • Automate database provisioning and operations using IaC and CI/CD
  • Implement monitoring, backup, HA/DR and performance tuning
  • Support data governance and master data consistency
  • Collaborate with Security teams on data protection and compliance

Technical Skills required:

  • At least 5+ years of experience in IT & relevant roles.
  • Strong experience with cloud-native and distributed databases
  • Experience in multi-cloud and hybrid architectures
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Azure SQL and MongoDB / Mongo Atlas or equivalent
  • Experience with event-driven data architectures and Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Knowledge of multi-cloud database deployment patterns
  • Strong automation and DevOps mindset

Experience in the following will be considered as an asset:

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • CI/CD and database automation
  • High Availability / Disaster Recovery environments
  • Cloud database performance optimisation
  • Experience working in complex, multi-cloud environments
