Microsoft Database Administrator (MSDBA) (Warsaw, 70% remote) – Frontex

Profile: Microsoft Database Administrator in support of Collaboration Services Team. Level Standard.

Place of performance: Frontex Headquarters – 30% on-site, 70 % remote.

Duration of the mission: 48 months.

Security Clearance: Is required (required from day 45 of assignment) - CONFIDENTIAL UE/EU CONFIDENTIAL.

Minimum level of education: Level 6.

Minimum English language skills: B2.

Minimum IT relevant experience: 5 years (3 years in relevant roles).

Award Criteria: 35% Price / 65% Quality.

Minimum required scoring for interview: 60%.

Rate: Flexible. The rate offered depends on the candidate’s level, in accordance with the European public grading system. Further details are available upon discussion.

· NWH: 210 days x 4 years.

· EWH: 18 days x 4 years.

· On Call Duties 2096 hours x 4 years.

Required technical certificates: Not required. Any certificates provided will be considered a plus.

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge:

· [01] Experienced in administration of complex MS SQL based systems deployed in distributed environments.

· [02] Expert in optimizing, tuning and planning capacity of databases.

· [03] Experience in scripting MS SQL databases, data transformations and ETL tools including cloud services.

· [04] Experience in design, implementation and maintenance Microsoft Business Intelligence on-premises tools and services.

· [05] Experience in design, implementation and maintenance Microsoft Fabric tools and services.

· [06] Hands-on Experience in monitoring systems.

· [07] Hands-on Experience in administering virtual infrastructure.

· [08] Basic Knowledge in administering other Microsoft systems.

Skills:

· [09] A proactive attitude, team-work spirit, being self-motivated with a strong user orientation.

· [10] Able to cope with the fast-changing technologies.

· [11] Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technologies, technical and business concepts to multiple audiences.

Specific requirements

· [01] Experience in working in Restricted environments.

· [02] Active EU security clearance at Confidential level (or higher).

· [03] Knowledge of DBPlus Performance Monitor application.

· [04] Creating and managing Always On deployments.

· [05] Mastery of recovery models (Full, Simple, Bulk-Logged) and disaster recovery methodologies.

· [06] Expertise in using tools like SQL Profiler, Execution Plans, and Dynamic Management Views (DMVs) to diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks.

· [07] Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate.

· [08] Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate.
