Network Engineer

Ventia is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team supporting the River Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project in Adelaide. Based on-site and working alongside experienced engineering professionals, you'll play a key role in delivering communications and network infrastructure for one of South Australia's most significant transport projects while finding your further with Ventia.

About the role

As a Network Engineer, you will support the delivery, configuration and ongoing operation of network infrastructure across the T2D project. Additionally, you'll:

• Design, configure and deploy the project's Communications Data Network across tunnel, roadside and control room environments, covering core, distribution and access layers
• Build and maintain Cisco networking infrastructure, including routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, VLANs and resilient ring topologies supporting critical ITS and control systems
• Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls, security policies, NAT and Panorama, maintaining secure separation between corporate IT and operational technology networks
• Deliver and support network capacity for high-bandwidth systems including CCTV, SCADA, variable message signs, public address and emergency communications systems
• Produce and maintain network documentation including IP schemas, design drawings, configuration standards and as-built records
• Support testing, commissioning, cutovers and handover activities while troubleshooting network, security and virtualisation issues and collaborating with systems, cyber security and controls teams

 

Are you our next Network Engineer? Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Palo Alto firewalls including PAN-OS, security policies and NAT
• VMware vSphere/ESXi and vCenter administration
• Network design, documentation and troubleshooting
• Experience with Panorama management (highly regarded)
• Cisco networking technologies including IOS/IOS-XE, BGP, OSPF and switching (highly regarded)
