Key Responsibilities
Lead Technical Mentor – Python & MIRAI Program
Core Technical Role
- Design end‑to‑end Python applications with a strong focus on performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Build backend services that integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into enterprise applications.
- Design and implement Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures using vector databases and related tooling.
- Develop AI orchestration workflows and Agentic AI solutions that align with business and product goals.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Product, Design, QA, Data, Ops) to deliver features according to the roadmap.
- Oversee code reviews, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines to maintain high quality, observability, and robustness.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, provide effort estimates, and manage execution using Agile methodologies.
- Provide hands‑on technical solutions for complex problems and actively troubleshoot issues across the stack.
MIRAI Program – Mentoring & Program Leadership (~40% of role)
- Take technical ownership of mentoring and leading the MIRAI Program, an 18‑month industry‑integrated programme for engineering students aspiring to build careers at the intersection of Japanese language, Agentic AI, and Financial Services.
- Design and oversee intern projects that connects classroom learning with real‑world industry problems, especially in AI, Python engineering, and financial services.
- Conduct technical sessions, code walkthroughs, and workshops to build strong foundations in Python, AI systems (LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI), and software craftsmanship.
- Drive initiatives that enhance student outcomes (technical capability, professionalism, communication skills) and strengthen the overall impact and reputation of the MIRAI Program.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (HR, Program Management, business units) to align MIRAI activities with organizational goals and future hiring needs.
- Monitor intern performance, provide mentorship on career development, and help identify high‑potential talent for long‑term roles.
- Ensure smooth operational management of the program, including timelines, milestones, evaluations, and continuous improvement of the MIRAI curriculum and structure.
Required Technical Skills
- Proficient in Python and related libraries
- Deep knowledge of Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Expertise in developing RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party services.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong background in database and cache systems - SQL and NoSQL.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD, unit testing frameworks, and code versioning tools (Git).
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
Team & Project Management
- Experience in mentoring and managing a team of developers.
- Ability to manage sprints, timelines, task assignments, and client communication.
