Full description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager, Internal AI & Automation based in the United States.

This is a high-impact senior individual contributor role focused on building an internal AI and automation function from the ground up. You’ll work directly with teams across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, People, and other business functions to uncover high-value opportunities. You’ll turn ambiguous operational challenges into practical AI-powered products, rapidly moving from discovery to working V1s. The role combines product strategy, hands-on prototyping, workflow redesign, and measurable adoption. You’ll partner closely with an AI Operations Engineer to evolve successful prototypes into reliable, scalable tools. With direct visibility to senior product and technology leadership, you’ll have significant influence over priorities, roadmap, and operating model. This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on product leader who thrives in ambiguity and wants to shape how AI transforms the way an organization works.

Accountabilities

  • Lead rapid discovery across business functions to identify repeatable, high-value workflows where AI and automation can deliver significant efficiency or business impact.
  • Own internal AI products end-to-end, from identifying the problem and defining the opportunity through prototyping, validation, launch, and ongoing optimization.
  • Build and test initial solutions independently using LLM APIs, agent frameworks, no-code, low-code, and workflow automation tools.
  • Partner with an AI Operations Engineer to transform successful prototypes into reliable, scalable, maintainable production solutions.
  • Treat internal teams as customers by understanding their real workflows, identifying friction points, and developing solutions that become embedded in daily operations.
  • Redesign processes from first principles, identifying how responsibilities and workflows can evolve when repetitive work is handled by AI.
  • Define success metrics, adoption targets, rollout strategies, and usage playbooks for every solution launched.
  • Maintain and prioritize a visible backlog of automation opportunities based on business impact, feasibility, and strategic value.
  • Communicate roadmap priorities, progress, results, and tradeoffs clearly to senior product and technology leadership.
  • Stay current on emerging AI models, agents, automation platforms, and implementation patterns, identifying opportunities to accelerate internal innovation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders and technical partners to ensure solutions are useful, trusted, scalable, and aligned with organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of product management experience, with a demonstrated track record of building and launching products or internal tools rather than solely managing roadmaps.
  • Strong systems-thinking skills and the ability to understand how people, decisions, information, and processes interact within complex operational workflows.
  • Hands-on experience building AI tools, automation workflows, agents, or internal products, including taking concepts from zero to a functional first version.
  • Practical understanding of LLM capabilities, prompting, agent behavior, evaluation, reliability, and effective human-AI collaboration.
  • Technical fluency with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, workflow automation platforms, and related modern AI tooling, with the ability to independently prototype solutions.
  • Experience using tools such as Claude or OpenAI APIs, n8n, Glean, Snowflake, or comparable AI and automation technologies is highly valuable.
  • Strong product judgment and the ability to make clear prioritization and tradeoff decisions in an ambiguous, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across business and technical functions and quickly establish credibility with different teams.
  • Experience driving measurable business outcomes, adoption, efficiency gains, or operational improvements rather than simply delivering features.
  • Experience working closely with operational or business teams and a strong understanding of how workflows function in practice, beyond formal process documentation.
  • Experience deploying AI agents or automation in operational environments, with exposure to platforms such as Gong, Intercom, Salesforce, Glean, or similar tools considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with B2B SaaS operations and the levers that drive efficiency and scale is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, curiosity, adaptability, and a bias toward action, experimentation, and continuous learning.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $140,000–$210,000, with final compensation determined by experience, skills, scope of impact, internal equity, and business needs.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage for eligible U.S. employees.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
  • Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).
  • Mental health reimbursement support.
  • Unlimited paid time off, including company-wide seasonal time off in December.
  • Paid parental and medical leave.
  • Remote work environment for U.S.-based employees.
  • Opportunity to work on a newly established internal AI function with significant autonomy and senior leadership visibility.
  • Direct opportunity to shape AI adoption, automation strategy, and the future operating model of a growing organization.
  • Collaborative environment with meaningful opportunities for professional development and career growth.
  • A mission-driven workplace focused on improving communication and outcomes within the education sector.
