Full description

Travelodge is seeking a curious, hands-on Data Analyst to help shape how data drives decisions across our fast-growing hospitality brand. Our data warehouse is already built - the opportunity now is to turn that foundation into real impact: driving adoption of dashboards and reporting, aligning the business around trusted and consistent metrics, and helping teams across the company make faster, more confident decisions. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to play a defining part in building Travelodge's data culture from the ground up. Data Analysis & Business Insight

  • Partner directly with business stakeholders to turn loosely defined questions into structured analysis - clarifying the real question being asked, forming hypotheses, and deciding how best to answer them
  • Analyze data across our warehouse and existing dashboards to uncover performance opportunities and translate them into business recommendations
  • Proactively identify growth and efficiency opportunities across the business through exploratory analysis and hypothesis-driven thinking
  • Present findings and recommendations in a way that's clear and actionable for stakeholders who may not have a data background

Dashboard Adoption & Data Governance

  • Drive adoption of our data warehouse and dashboards across the organization - understanding why usage has lagged, and working with stakeholders to make self-service reporting a real part of how they work
  • Establish and document clear, consistent definitions for our core metrics, resolving the discrepancies that currently exist across dashboards and reports, and driving alignment on a single source of truth
  • Improve and extend our existing dashboards - both the underlying logic/definitions and how approachable they are for non-technical users

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Automate manual, repetitive reporting processes and track the time and efficiency gains
  • Identify opportunities to streamline how data flows into reporting and reduce manual maintenance overhead

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in an analyst role (analytics, BI, insights, or similar).
  • Strong, hands-on SQL skills - comfortable writing and troubleshooting queries against imperfect or evolving data sources
  • Working experience with a data visualization tool (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar) - flexibility matters more here than mastery of one specific tool
  • Proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of Python or R is a strong plus, especially for automation and light data work
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business or quantitative field (computer science, mathematics, engineering, economics, statistics, or related)
  • Basic-to-intermediate understanding of statistics (e.g. hypothesis testing, regression); exposure to A/B testing or ML concepts is a plus but not required

Skills & Competencies

  • Comfortable working with messy, incomplete, or inconsistent data - and genuinely enjoys bringing order and clear definitions to that kind of ambiguity
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills - able to explain data clearly to non-technical audiences and build buy-in for data-driven decisions and dashboard adoption
  • Naturally curious and hands-on; a self-starter comfortable being the person who sets the standard rather than following an established one
  • Resourceful - able to build practical, workable solutions with limited tooling and infrastructure
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, still-evolving environment where processes and priorities can shift
