Overview:

Kearfott Corporation is looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team in Black Mountain, NC. As the Financial Analyst, you will support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across Finance, Accounting, Program Management, Supply Chain, Contracts, and Operations on a daily basis through frequent in-person collaboration and coordination. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial modeling skills, business acumen, and the ability to analyze complex financial data to provide actionable insights that drive organizational performance. 

Essential Functions

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Develop financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts and identify variances.
  • Conduct profitability, cost-benefit, and trend analyses to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with business units to gather financial data and provide analytical support.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
  • Evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends, operational metrics, and business performance to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling).
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, IFS, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Must be US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification.
  • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, technology, or other relevant industries.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools.
