The Role & Responsibilities

Premier Cloud is looking for a Google Cloud Architect to design and deliver modern cloud solutions that help our clients transform their applications and infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. You'll work directly with business and technical stakeholders to understand their goals, identify modernization opportunities, and architect cloud environments that are scalable, secure, and built to perform.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role. You'll lead design, implementation, and optimization initiatives across technologies like Anthos, Kubernetes, and core GCP infrastructure-as-a-service — partnering closely with Google's own teams along the way.

  • Architect and implement solutions — Design and deploy resilient, scalable, and secure environments on Google Cloud.
  • Advise clients strategically — Serve as a trusted technical advisor, guiding clients on best practices throughout their cloud journey.
  • Deliver projects — Own on-time, high-quality delivery of cloud projects that meet SLAs and performance targets.
  • Shape integration and infrastructure strategy — Recommend integration approaches, enterprise architectures, and platforms that drive successful adoption.
  • Collaborate across teams — Partner closely with Googlers and internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and lasting client success.
  • Improve how we work — Help refine internal processes, templates, and methodologies to raise the bar on delivery.
  • Collaborate with Practice leadership and thought leaders on pre-sales engagements, solution designs, and proposals

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Cloud Architect, Data Engineer, or Systems Engineer in enterprise environments.
  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security best practices.
  • Hands-on experience delivering custom solutions on a major public cloud platform (GCP strongly preferred).
  • Roughly 4+ years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

Preferred:

  • Google Cloud Professional Architect certification.
  • Proficiency with Terraform, Bash, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Istio, and Anthos.
  • Prior work experience within the Google Cloud ecosystem or partner network.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation that reflects your experience and impact.
  • Growth and development through continuous training, certifications, and exposure to cutting-edge Google Cloud projects.
  • Direct collaboration with Google on transformative client initiatives.
  • Comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off; a referral program; and relocation assistance where applicable.
  • A flexible, hybrid work environment in Austin, TX, supported by premium company-issued technology and a culture of trust and autonomy.
