About the Role

As a Project Manager - Engagement and Communications, you will help connect corporate initiatives with the teams who bring them to life in our tax offices. In this role, you will lead engagement activities that support successful implementation of business priorities, create meaningful two-way dialogue with field leaders, and ensure teams have the information and support they need to succeed. You will partner across Operations, Training, Communications, Product, and Field Leadership to coordinate meetings, feedback channels, support routines, and engagement programs that strengthen adoption, improve execution, and amplify the voice of the field.

Day to day, you'll...

  • Manage project plans for engagement programs, leadership meetings, advisory councils, and support networks
  • Coordinate engagement activities with field leaders, business partners, and cross-functional teams
  • Lead support and escalation routines that help resolve questions and improve the associate experience
  • Facilitate feedback discussions that uncover barriers, readiness concerns, and improvement opportunities
  • Develop agendas, facilitator guides, talking points, surveys, and follow-up materials for engagement events
  • Capture and analyze field feedback, best practices, and emerging trends to inform business decisions
  • Track milestones, action items, risks, and follow-up activities across multiple projects and initiatives
  • Partner with Operations, Training, Communications, and Product teams to align messaging and readiness activities
  • Measure engagement effectiveness through participation trends, feedback insights, and adoption indicators
  • Document lessons learned and recommend improvements that strengthen future engagement efforts

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience
  • 3 years minimum experience in project or program management, communications planning, or similar related work
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group; ability to lead in a matrix environment and at a distance (virtually)
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group as a member of a team
  • Demonstrated decision making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated effectiveness in presenting complex information to multiple organizational levels, with strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and product planning tools
  • Familiarity with Project Management methodologies
  • Track record of establishing priorities and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a consulting environment
  • Familiarity with compliance (regulatory, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), etc.) and governance issues
  • PMP certification, or equivalent, or completed work towards PMP certification, or equivalent
  • Some tax or financial background

The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan. Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and/or their eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage; can participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, (virtual) fitness center programs, and the associate discount program; are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance; and receive Associate Tax Prep benefit. Pay Range

$62,800.00 - $94,200.00/Yr.
