Job Title: Data Quality Engineer

Purpose of Job

ScaleupAlly is looking for a Data Quality Engineer to ensure the accuracy, consistency, completeness, and reliability of data across databases, data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting systems. The role involves data validation, quality testing, ETL/ELT testing, data reconciliation, and identifying data discrepancies while working closely with Data Engineering, QA, and BI teams to maintain high-quality and reliable data.

● Bachelor's degree in any discipline / Information Systems, or a related field.

Duties

  • Perform data quality checks and validation using SQL.
  • Validate data across source, staging, and target systems.
  • Test ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformations.
  • Identify duplicates, missing data, and inconsistencies.
  • Perform data reconciliation and root-cause analysis.
  • Validate Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Create and execute data quality test cases.
  • Track and report data issues using JIRA.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and QA teams to resolve data issues.

Requirements

Required Qualification :

  • 1-3 years of experience in Data Quality, QA, Data Testing, or Data Analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, data validation, and database testing.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT testing and data reconciliation.
  • Basic knowledge of Python and Power BI.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or Databricks is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
