Job Description
Role and Responsibilities:
1. New Plant Setup, Process Optimization & Standardization Replication:
Ensure all IE milestones for plant construction and mass production are achieved on schedule.
2. Capacity & Efficiency Planning:
Lead new plant capacity planning, line balancing, and cycle time/work-hour analysis to maximize manufacturing efficiency.
3. Manufacturing Systems & Process Standards:
Implement SFCS/MES workflows and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure smooth transitions from NPI (New Product Introduction) to mass production. 4. Lean & Automation Integration:
Drive Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; evaluate and deploy smart manufacturing and collaborative automation solutions. 5. Cross-Regional Standardization:
Align multi-site manufacturing strategies, replicate technical standards, integrate global resources to enable flexible manufacturing layouts, and optimize production costs and financial metrics. 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Foster cross-departmental synergy, accelerate the implementation of continuous improvement projects, and resolve operational and organizational bottlenecks promptly. 7. Key Metrics & Financial Control:
Drive and optimize OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness); oversee annual department budgeting, headcount planning, and financial performance metrics; reallocate cross-regional resources to maximize business value and operational flexibility. 8. Team Leadership & Deliverables:
Lead professional IE teams to fulfill annual operational goals, ensuring consistent performance output and organizational value. 9. Technical Guidance & Quality Review:
Define IE technical roadmaps, provide technical mentorship, and review engineering documentation and project deliverables across teams. 10. Talent Development & Succession Planning:
Identify and cultivate key/high-caliber engineering and management talent, foster a culture of continuous innovation, build a robust leadership pipeline, and lead the team to target achievement.
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of hands-on IE experience in large-scale manufacturing environments, with at least 8+ years of leadership experience managing cross-functional or cross-regional teams.
- Proven experience in overseas plant setup (greenfield) and/or global operations management.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in Lean, Six Sigma, MES/SFCS system architecture, facility/line layout planning, automation integration, and OEE optimization.
- Exceptional cross-cultural communication, stakeholder management, cross-departmental coordination, financial/budgetary control, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Language & Communication: Fluent in both English and Mandarin with strong cross-cultural leadership and executive presentation skills.
- Industry Domain: Strong background in Networking / Electronics Manufacturing (EMS/ODM); familiar with SMT, PCBA, and System Assembly & Testing processes.
- Smart Manufacturing: Hands-on experience deploying Industry 4.0 solutions, Digital Twins, AGV/AMR automated material handling systems, or automated assembly/packaging lines.
- Data Analytics: Proficient with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Python) for bottleneck identification, capacity simulation, or cycle time/yield forecasting.
- Certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt (SSBB) or Master Black Belt (MBB) certification is a plus.
