Requires 12+ years of experience in application development and engineering management within the financial services industry. Candidates must possess strong hands-on expertise in Java/J2EE, microservices, and modern architectural standards.

Full description

  • 12+ years of relevant experience in application development and engineering management within the Financial Services or banking industry.
  • 12+ years of experience as a Java/J2EE Applications Development Manager, Engineering Lead, or Application Management Lead.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering robust, scalable enterprise applications utilizing modern architectures and SDLC standards.

Technical Skills & Architecture

  • Core Tech Stack: Strong hands-on expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, Angular/modern UI frameworks, PL/SQL, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift).
  • Engineering Excellence: Proficient in architectural design, hands-on coding, secure code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and disciplined software development and release processes.
  • Agile Delivery: Solid understanding and practical experience leading teams in Agile/Scrum environments.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Demonstrated track record in people management, talent development, and technical team leadership.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management, partnering directly with business sponsors, product owners, and cross-functional technology partners.
  • Clear, concise, and executive-ready written and verbal communication skills.

Problem Solving & Operational Governance

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex business processes, system architectures, and industry standards to resolve high-impact technical challenges.
  • Comprehensive experience in issue tracking, incident remediation, root cause analysis (RCA), and closure.
  • Ability to collaborate seamlessly with L1/L2 production support and infrastructure teams to ensure operational resilience and high system availability.
  • Proactive self-starter with a passion for continuous technological innovation and disciplined delivery.
