Meet our team

As Engineering Team Manager for Hybrid Infrastructure & OT, you will lead an international team of approximately 13 engineers within Infrastructure & Operations, reporting to the Head of Platform Engineering, with the majority of the team based in Brno.

The team provides business-critical infrastructure across more than 50 countries, supporting thousands of servers and petabytes of storage. Its scope covers hybrid infrastructure, backup and resilience, and operational technology. The roadmap includes Edge Computing, Containerisation, Hybrid Infrastructure Automation, Camera Technologies, Radio Communications and enhanced Remote Access capabilities.

You will lead and develop the team, manage its capacity and performance, and drive the move towards greater automation, standardisation and product-oriented engineering, while Product Owners and technical leads retain ownership of product strategy and solution design.

What you will do

  • Lead, coach, and grow the team, supporting career development, managing performance, hiring talent, and preparing for future skill needs.
  • Develop the team’s engineering skills and lead its evolution towards modern engineering practices, with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code, automation, AI-native ways of working, and reusable, version-controlled solutions.
  • Lead the adoption of practical AI capabilities that enhance engineering efficiency, accelerate problem-solving, improve knowledge management, and reduce manual operational work.
  • Allocate engineering capacity across 3rd level operations including the engineers’ 24/7 on-call rotation, delivery, security, lifecycle management, automation and continuous improvement.
  • Agree priorities and realistic delivery commitments with Product Owners, technical leads and delivery teams.
  • Ensure the team provides stable and secure services while meeting agreed operational and delivery commitments.
  • Make capacity and priority conflicts transparent and address them by reallocating resources, adjusting commitments, requesting additional investment or escalating risks.
  • Manage personnel costs, external engineering contracts, team performance reporting & KPI and compliance with security and operational standards.

We are looking for these competencies

  • Proven people leadership within infrastructure, platform, data-centre or operational technology engineering.
  • Ability to lead senior technical specialists without becoming the day-to-day solution owner.
  • Experience developing engineering capabilities and supporting teams through the transition towards Infrastructure as Code, automation and AI-native ways of working.
  • Experience balancing operational stability, delivery, security, lifecycle work, technical debt and continuous improvement within finite capacity.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure operations, service levels, incident and problem management, and risk-based decision-making.
  • Understanding of production and Operational Technology environments, including the different approaches to change, risk, availability and operations required compared with established enterprise IT environments.
  • Confident stakeholder management across Product Owners, architects, security, finance, vendors and senior management.
  • Experience with budgets, external resources, contracts and performance data.
  • Professional English.

What is beneficial

  • Technical background in compute, storage, virtualization, backup and recovery, data-centre infrastructure, edge platforms or operational technology.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, automation frameworks, APIs, scripting, Git-based workflows and the practical application of AI in infrastructure engineering.
  • Experience managing highly available or business-critical services with demanding continuity and recovery requirements.
  • Familiarity with hybrid infrastructure modernization, lifecycle risk and industrial or plant environments.
  • Familiarity with agile planning, Jira backlogs, SLOs and infrastructure lifecycle management.

What we offer

  • Hybrid work environment
  • 7.5-hour workday and 5 weeks of vacation
  • Employee career track including regular growth talks
  • Extensive training: technical, soft skills and language courses
  • Coaching and mentoring
  • 4 sick days and 3 days off for volunteering activities
  • Daily meal contribution
  • Benefit card for sport, education, wellness, health and culture
  • Pension insurance
  • Mobile phone with company tariff
  • Reserved company parking for car, motorbike and bike, including lockers
  • Relax area and terrace
