Pinchin is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager to join our Geotechnical Group in the Greater Toronto Area. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role offers the opportunity to lead innovative projects, contribute to business development, and deliver sustainable solutions for our clients.

Your Impact as a Geotechnical Project Manager
- You will work with a team of engineers and technicians to deliver all types of geotechnical projects.
- You will be responsible for the delivery of small to medium sized projects and assist in the delivery of large projects.
- Manage geotechnical investigations including field coordination, subcontractors, budget and schedule.
- Complete engineering design and assessment for various geotechnical applications, including foundation design, slope stability, settlement analysis, etc.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and proposals.
- Prepare geotechnical reports and memorandums.
- Assist with Client Management and Business Development.
What You’ll Bring to Pinchin
The ideal candidate combines strong geotechnical engineering expertise with project management experience and demonstrates a genuine commitment to delivering better outcomes for clients, communities, and the environment.
- Degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Geological Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Intermediate level experience 5-10 years in geotechnical engineering with project management experience.
- Either licensed or the ability to become licensed with the PEO.
- Able to manage multiple projects from initiation to completion.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle, with the ability to travel to project sites, work outdoors, and occasionally work extended hours as project needs require.
- Able to work closely with our project teams across the company where geotechnical support may be of assistance, such as Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation and Building Sciences.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to communicate effectively, as well as proactively respond to clients on time sensitive items.
- The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, clients and managers.
- Proven technical writing skills in the preparation of geotechnical engineering reports and letters for clients.
