Department: Labor and Delivery

Schedule: Day shift l Full-time

How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Lead and empower unit staff: Drive the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of your nursing team to build a high-performing, compassionate care environment.
  • Optimize patient care delivery: Resolve operational bottlenecks and streamline workflow to ensure safe, seamless, and high-quality experiences for mothers and newborns.
  • Establish modern care standards: Develop and update evidence-based unit policies and procedures to elevate nursing practices and maintain strict regulatory compliance.
  • Manage unit operations and fiscal health: Oversee daily activities and direct budget expenditures to ensure your team has the essential resources and staffing required for optimal care.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.

Education:

  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.

What additional requirements you'll need

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in L&D
  • Minimum 1 year of formal experience in an RN leadership role (e.g., Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager).
