Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer to join our MarTech Team — the heart of marketing (UA) data analytics. You will play a key role in building and optimizing data pipelines that power business-critical insights and personalized marketing experiences with the focus on supporting the expansion of our proprietary rewarded marketing program. As a company, we process over 4 billion events per day and handle more than 100TB of data every month, ingesting data from various sources including mobile apps, marketing platforms, and internal systems to enable data-driven decision-making across campaigns and product strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Python for marketing data workflows
  • Develop and support Data Warehouses (Snowflake, Firebolt) and Data Lakes
  • Integrate data from mobile marketing platforms into centralized data stores
  • Automate and optimize data pipelines for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency
  • Ensure data quality, validation, and governance across all data processes
  • Collaborate with Marketing and in-house Studio teams to deliver data-driven solutions for business needs.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python and Pandas/Polars
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL for data querying and transformation
  • Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles
  • Practical experience with Airflow for workflow orchestration
  • Experience with Snowflake or other modern OLAP databases
  • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Collaborative team player with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with AI development tools like Claude Code etc

Nice to have

  • Experience working with Firebolt
  • Experience designing and building scalable systems on AWS
  • Background in the gaming industry or familiarity with gaming data
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles
