- Under the direction of the Chief of Staff provides analytic and reimbursement expertise to financial and operational reporting, key strategic initiatives and other business ventures.
- Leads an effective analytics and strategy team that supports CCHC’s on-going strategic planning process, clinical program planning and business development efforts
- Works closely with hospital COOs, clinical and operations directors to provide analytic insights to clinical programs, quality and PI initiatives.
- Collaborates with senior management in Finance Operations, Revenue Cycle, Financial Planning and Physician Practice Management to develop and execute reporting to evaluate programs and performance.
- Works closely with IT to leverage data to promote progressive ways of thinking and facilitate alignment of BI function to CCHC’s corporate strategy and broader business evolution. Liaisons with IT leadership and external data system resources to ensure that technology enables analytic capabilities, and that data is highly reliable and accurate.
- Creates and manages business intelligence systems to consolidate disparate financial, market and operational databases.
- Directs new processes for recurring reporting to the Board and Senior Management. Oversees quarterly, monthly and daily external and internal reporting.
- Recommends and institutes new processes to improve financial and statistical reporting, and the application of information technologies to business decision making.
- Provides market and medical staff assessments to Physician Practice Management in support of clinical planning and physician manpower planning.
- Serves as CCHC BI executive sponsor for negotiation, administration and upgrades for Strata Healthcare Solutions.
- Provides project management leadership to large scale analytic projects, as a primary component of business development activities.
- Provides leadership and direction for departmental resources to achieve departmental goals. Manages and develops staff.
- Responsible for administration of department budget.
- Works with a high degree of autonomy and makes decisions on a regular basis
- Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in the healthcare industry in general and planning specifically.
- Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers.
- Challenges current working practices: identifies process improvement opportunities and presents recommendations and solutions to management. Engages and commits to the organization’s culture of continuous improvement by actively participating, supporting, and promoting CCHC Pillars of Excellence.
- Bachelor required in healthcare or business administration or closely related field. Masters preferred.
- Seven to ten years of experience in healthcare planning and/or business development, with 5+years healthcare management experience.
- Knowledge of strategic and business planning concepts and practices; knowledge and experience in hospital operations, hospital finance, physician referral, market assessment and research techniques.
- Epic Cogito Certification
- Experience with applicable regulatory compliance.
- Broad understanding of healthcare environment, health care policy, technologies and emerging trends.
- Ability to effectively interact with senior leaders, managers and physicians.
- Ability to lead and direct matrix project teams; lead and direct effective meetings.
- Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Ability to make effective presentations to diverse groups.
- Ability to oversee the cost accounting process, delivering accurate cost analysis and reporting to inform business strategy and improve financial performance.
