Job Description

• Perform hands-on full-stack development, architecture reviews, and peer code reviews.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Develop and maintain front-end applications using React and/or Next.js.
• Understand customer and business requirements and translate them into appropriate technical solutions.
• Independently own engineering work from solution design and implementation through testing, deployment, and production validation.
• Critically review AI-generated architecture and code, identify incorrect assumptions or implementation risks, and validate the output before adoption.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, build processes, deployment workflows, and cloud infrastructure when required.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including daily standups, demos, retrospectives, estimation, and planning.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance when needed.
• Perform other responsibilities assigned by the Line Manager.

Qualifications

General Requirements

• At least 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Demonstrated senior-level ownership across solution design, implementation, code review, testing, debugging, and production support.
• Ability to develop a deep understanding of project technologies and work independently with minimal guidance.
• Ability to take ownership of ambiguous technical problems and drive them through investigation and resolution.
• Strong self-learning capability and willingness to adapt quickly to new technologies.
• Upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency, with the ability to communicate technical decisions clearly in a distributed team environment.

Technical Requirements

• Strong production experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, including substantial backend development using Node.js
• Hands-on front-end development experience with React and/or Next.js
• Strong understanding of backend and distributed-system concepts, including APIs, microservices, asynchronous processing, concurrency, error handling, and performance.
• Experience performing architecture and code reviews, including identifying design flaws, security risks, maintainability concerns, and incorrect technical assumptions.
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong software testing and debugging skills, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience using Claude Code in real software-development work across design, implementation, testing, debugging, and code review.
• Ability to critically review, challenge, and validate AI-generated architecture and code.
• Experience using agentic workflows or AI-assisted development across the software development lifecycle.

Nice to have:

• Experience integrating AI tools with external systems through MCP (Model Context Protocol) or equivalent approaches.
• Experience designing reusable AI-assisted SDLC workflows for engineering teams.
• Ability to decompose complex engineering tasks, provide effective context to AI tools, and apply structured multi-step prompting workflows.
• Experience improving developer productivity through AI-assisted automation.
• Awareness of emerging AI development tools and the ability to evaluate and adopt new capabilities when they provide practical value.
