Full description

Under the direction of the Project Executive, the Project Quality Control Manager will be responsible for the duties summarized below.  We are seeking an individual that understands the urgency of getting the job done and getting it done correctly. The Project Quality Control Manager is responsible for all quality control aspects of the project. The Project Quality Control Manager may be called upon to assist with other Project management duties as required. Amoroso has projects throughout the greater Los Angeles basin and the current opening would be in the Fullerton Area.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage all aspects of quality control aspects of the project
  • Required to be on-site at all times during construction
  • Implement and enforce all aspects of Contract Quality Control program
  • Perform specification compliance reviews and inspections
  • Perform field quality inspections of ongoing and completed work.
  • Complete daily QC reports and other related reports
  • Hold preparatory, initial and follow up inspections for all definable features of work
  • Utilize the quality control (preparatory, initial, and follow up) program to prevent deficiencies.
  • Coordinate with Owner’s representatives and Inspectors personnel.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Minimum of 10 years construction experience as a project Superintendent or CQC Manager (or Alternate CQC Manager)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising mechanical features of work in the field with a construction company
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising electrical features of work in the field with a construction company.
  • Having completed the Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors or other quality control and Assurance courses would be desired.
  • Requires knowledge of contractual obligations, insurance, general conditions.
  • Requires strong personal computer skills with a working knowledge of Excel Word and Bluebeam.
  • Requires a neat personal appearance, even temperament, and congenial disposition.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with employees and non-employees of all levels.
  • OSHA 30 minimum
