This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer based in the United States.
This is a senior, customer-facing technical role focused on designing sophisticated telecommunications and network solutions for enterprise customers. You will act as a trusted technology advisor, translating complex business and technical requirements into practical, high-value solutions. The role spans the full sales cycle, from discovery and solution design through presentations, technical validation, contracting, and close. You will work on some of the organization’s largest and most complex customer opportunities across a broad range of technologies and architectures. Success requires strong expertise in networking, cloud, security, resiliency, and modern infrastructure, combined with commercial awareness. You will also provide peer leadership and mentorship while helping sales colleagues and customers deepen their technical understanding. This is a remote opportunity for candidates located within the Northeast region of the United States.

Accountabilities
• Act as a senior technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, participating in customer discovery, requirements analysis, solution development, technical objection handling, and opportunity closure.
• Build trusted relationships with customer technical stakeholders, influencers, recommenders, executives, and key partners.
• Develop customer-specific value propositions that clearly connect proposed technology solutions to business objectives and measurable outcomes.
• Analyze customer requirements and design tailored solutions that balance capabilities, resiliency, performance, and cost across local, regional, and global services.
• Lead complex, iterative solution designs involving multiple internal departments and ensure proposed architectures are technically feasible with operations and product teams.
• Create clear technical designs, diagrams, proposals, and presentations that communicate solution architecture to both technical and business audiences.
• Support contracting and proposal activities by ensuring technical requirements, compliance considerations, and customer needs are appropriately addressed.
• Stay current on telecommunications, networking, cloud, security, and other emerging technologies, as well as competitive market developments.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more technologies or services and provide peer leadership and structured mentorship to other solutions engineering professionals.
• Educate customers on relevant technology and industry trends while strengthening the technical knowledge of sales colleagues and internal partners.
• Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives, technical training, continuing education, and improvements to the broader solutions engineering organization.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent business or military experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in technical sales engineering, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or technical support within the telecommunications industry.
• Industry certifications in two or more specialized technology areas are preferred.
• Strong expertise in networking technologies, including optical networking, routing, switching, software-defined networking, and network security.
• Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery principles, including experience designing solutions around different resiliency requirements.
• Understanding of application and data architectures, including public, private, and hybrid cloud environments and edge performance and security considerations.
• Ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into technically sound, cost-effective customer solutions.
• Experience creating technical architectures, diagrams, and documentation and presenting complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong written, verbal, listening, reasoning, presentation, and objection-handling skills.
• Experience developing and delivering technical training programs is valuable.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and anticipating and responding quickly to changing customer or business requirements.
• Strong commercial awareness and a results-oriented approach to customer engagement and solution development.
• Proficiency with common business productivity tools, including Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office.
• Public sector or SLED experience is preferred.
• Candidates should be located within the Northeast region of the United States for this remote position.
