Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++ or Python.
- 5 years of experience in managing internal infrastructure, developer tools or distributed computing infrastructure.
- 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Proven track of applying AI solutions in DevOps/SDLC realm.

The GCE (Google Compute Engine) Control (EngProd Engineering Productivity) team is dedicated to building the tools, frameworks, and release processes that empower our developers to build and ship high-quality software with maximum efficiency. Our mission centers on improving the reliability of GCE services while significantly shortening the time to market for new customer features.
Within GCE Hyperloop, our focus is on delivering advanced developer sandboxes and simulation platforms. These initiatives support rapid product development and enable agentic AI-driven workflows, effectively addressing GCE stack complexity through topology simulation.

- Manage a team to navigate deep technical problem spaces.
- Lead the Infrastructure and Tooling strategy while balancing a wide variety of projects and engagements.
- Apply AI first mindset to the solutions provided.
- Build, grow and retain top talent and continually find ways to inspire and test the engineering organization.
- Build cross-functional partnerships, and work closely with developers and product managers to identify productivity, production quality and coverage issues, and provide insight on improving both through scale and tooling.
