YOUR ROLE
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Air & Ocean team on a six-month fixed-term contract from 1 November 2026 to 30 April 2027.
Based at Banksmeadow, NSW, you’ll lead the end-to-end delivery of a significant logistics project supporting a major data centre infrastructure customer. You’ll oversee the planning, mobilisation, execution and close-out of the project, coordinating activities across inbound freight, storage and staging, quality control and final-mile delivery.
This is a highly visible, customer-facing role requiring strong project governance, operational coordination and stakeholder management across multiple CEVA functions and locations. The role will also require ad hoc travel within Sydney and interstate.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Specifically, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end planning, mobilisation, execution and close-out of the project, ensuring agreed milestones, deliverables and quality standards are achieved
- Develop and manage the master project schedule, resource plan, risk register, performance measures and project governance framework
- Oversee operational readiness across inbound handling, warehousing and yard activities, staging and QA zones, and final-mile delivery
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Air & Ocean, Contract Logistics, Transport, QHSE, Procurement, IT and Finance to support seamless project delivery
- Act as the primary customer and partner interface, providing clear communication, timely issue resolution and strong relationship management
- Govern project reporting, including inventory and container status, storage utilisation, delivery sequencing and operational dashboards
- Ensure safe, compliant and efficient handling of equipment and freight in line with relevant safety, quality and operational requirements
- Oversee project site and infrastructure readiness, including staging areas, equipment, temporary facilities and operational resourcing
- Monitor project costs, operational expenditure and relevant commercial assumptions
- Lead project meetings, workshops, business reviews and stakeholder forums, ensuring risks, actions and dependencies are actively managed
- Drive continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle and capture lessons learned for future operations
- Represent CEVA during customer reviews, audits and project governance activities.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You’ll have strong senior-level project management experience within logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding or another complex operational environment. You’ll also have:
- Demonstrated experience leading complex customer-facing projects, mobilisations or large-scale operational implementations
- Strong project scheduling, planning, risk management and commercial awareness, ideally with exposure to Microsoft Project, Smartsheet or similar tools
- Sound understanding of warehousing, yard, transport and/or container-handling operations, including inventory and delivery sequencing
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
Experience supporting data centre, technology, construction, capital equipment or other major infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will need the flexibility to attend project activities, major deliveries and key milestone events as required, with some after-hours work potentially required during peak project phases.
In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
