Full description

The Finance Analyst will support day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions. This role works closely with the Finance team to maintain compliance with internal policies, strengthen controls, and support efficient financial reporting and analysis across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Ensure payments are properly authorized and aligned with approved budgets.
  • Record financial transactions accurately in accounting systems.
  • Maintain organized documentation and filing systems for financial records.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Handle financial data with strict confidentiality.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of payable accounts.
  • Liaise with vendors to resolve discrepancies and respond to inquiries.
  • Monitor accounts payable aging and support timely payments.
  • Generate and issue invoices for services and other revenue streams.
  • Perform regular (weekly/monthly) receivable reconciliations.
  • Track outstanding receivables and follow up to ensure timely collections.
  • Support compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Assist in preparing and filing statutory tax returns (e.g., VAT, WHT, PAYE).
  • Maintain accurate tax documentation and assist with regulatory correspondence.
  • Assist in preparing and updating vendor payment schedules.
  • Support preparation of monthly bank reconciliation statements.
  • Track expenses, reimbursements, and general cash operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or Accounting.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships or NYSC experience acceptable).
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
