This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Regional Product Manager – Engineering Plastics based in Ireland.
This is a high-impact commercial leadership role with responsibility for an engineering plastics product portfolio across Europe. You’ll own the commercial strategy, profitability, pricing, and growth trajectory of a defined product family. The role combines strategic portfolio management with hands-on supplier leadership, business development, and key account growth. You’ll use market intelligence and customer insights to identify new opportunities, strengthen distribution channels, and expand market presence. Working with international suppliers and senior stakeholders, you’ll have substantial influence over commercial decisions and negotiations. The position offers significant autonomy, European-wide visibility, and direct exposure to senior leadership in a growth-oriented environment. It is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical sales professional ready to take broader regional ownership and strategic responsibility.

Accountabilities
- Own the commercial performance and strategic development of the Engineering Plastics product portfolio across Europe.
- Execute the European commercial strategy and translate broader business objectives into actionable portfolio plans.
- Take responsibility for margins, pricing strategy, sales forecasting, and overall portfolio profitability.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with international suppliers, including leading commercial negotiations and partnership discussions.
- Identify and develop new distribution channels and market opportunities to support sustainable regional growth.
- Drive active business development initiatives and manage relationships with key accounts across European markets.
- Monitor market developments, customer needs, competitive activity, and industry trends to identify opportunities and inform portfolio strategy.
- Translate market intelligence into practical commercial actions that generate measurable growth and strengthen the product range.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective execution of commercial initiatives across the region.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in engineering plastics, polymer raw materials, technical chemical distribution, or a closely related industry.
- Demonstrated commercial success with a track record of delivering measurable revenue, margin, or market growth.
- Strong understanding of engineering plastics, polymer materials, or related technical products.
- A technical background in Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a comparable discipline is preferred.
- Proven experience managing international supplier relationships and conducting commercial negotiations.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach.
- Excellent commercial, analytical, negotiation, and business development skills.
- Ability to operate independently, make commercially sound decisions, and take ownership of a strategic portfolio.
- Fluent English communication skills; additional European languages are advantageous.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Europe.
