The Network Engineer will design, configure, and maintain critical network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure high availability for gaming systems. They are also responsible for monitoring network performance, managing security controls, and troubleshooting connectivity issues to minimize latency.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, configure,
and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers across data center and corporate environments.
- Implement and
maintain network segmentation to isolate game servers, payment systems, and corporate networks per security policy.
- Monitor network performance and
availability, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks or outages.
- Manage firewall
rule requests, changes, and periodic rule-base reviews per the change management process.
- Support DDoS mitigation and network security
controls protecting internet-facing gaming infrastructure.
- Configure and
maintain VPN and remote access infrastructure for employees and third parties.
- Troubleshoot
network-related incidents affecting game availability, latency, or connectivity, coordinating with server and application teams.
- Maintain accurate
network diagrams, IP address management (IPAM), and configuration documentation.
- Support network
capacity planning and upgrades to accommodate peak gaming traffic and new market launches.
- Participate in the on-call rotation to support
production network infrastructure.
Key Performance Indicators/ Key Success Factors
- Network uptime and availability percentage
against SLA.
- Mean time to resolve network incidents.
- Firewall rule review compliance rate.
- Network latency and performance against
defined thresholds for game traffic.
- Number of security incidents attributable to
network misconfiguration, targeted at zero.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information
Technology, Telecommunications, or a
- related field.
- Experience: 3+ years in network engineering or administration, ideally
within a high-availability or real-time transaction environment such as online gaming.
- Skills & Knowledge: Strong knowledge of routing/switching (Cisco,
Juniper, or similar), firewall administration, network segmentation, VPN technologies, and network monitoring tools; understanding of DDoS mitigation and network security best practices.
- Certifications (good to have): CCNA/CCNP or equivalent vendor certification
preferred.
