Company Overview
Arcesium is a global financial technology firm that solves complex data-driven challenges faced by some of the world’s most sophisticated financial institutions. We constantly innovate our platform and capabilities to meet tomorrow’s challenges, anticipate the risks our clients encounter, and design advanced solutions to help our clients achieve transformational business outcomes.
Financial technology is a high-growth industry as change and innovation continue to disrupt the status-quo and prompt major transformation. Arcesium is at a particularly interesting time in our own growth as we look to leverage our successfully established market position and expand operations in pursuit of strategic new business opportunities. We value intellectual curiosity, proactive ownership, and collaboration with colleagues, and we empower you to meaningfully contribute from day one and accelerate your professional development.
Arcesium is looking for a hands-on Product Manager to own and drive the evolution of our Tax Product for the Alternative Investment industry. This is a builder’s role for someone who can work closely with Engineering to translate complex tax workflows into scalable technology solutions—from requirements definition through production delivery.
We are looking for someone who has personally built and shipped technology solutions for hedge fund tax operations. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience taking products or platform capabilities from concept and requirements through design, development, testing, and production, working closely with engineering teams throughout the process.
The role requires a strong combination of tax domain expertise, product thinking, and technology execution. You should be comfortable understanding complex hedge fund tax workflows, identifying opportunities to solve them through technology, defining clear product requirements, and partnering hands-on with Engineering to deliver solutions that are scalable, reliable, and user focused.
What You'll Do:
- Own the product: Drive requirements, prioritization, and delivery for the Tax Product roadmap, working directly with engineering through the full lifecycle from problem definition to production.
- Go deep on the technical detail: Translate hedge fund tax mechanics like partnership allocations, wash sales, tax lot classification, K-1 processing, and regulatory filings (FBAR, FATCA, FIN48) into precise specifications.
- Engage clients directly: Handle client and internal stakeholder questions on tax product with the accuracy and timeliness the role demands.
- Support the roadmap: Contribute to and eventually own the vision and roadmap for the Tax Product that is informed by market trends and the needs of Alternative Investment clients.
- Grow with the role: This role starts as an individual contributor. Candidates who demonstrate strong independent delivery and domain command will have a path to leading the Tax Product team, earned through performance.
What You'll Need:
- 8–12 years of experience in US Taxation, with hands-on domain expertise in US Tax Compliance and Planning for Hedge Funds.
- Working knowledge of wash sales, tax lot classification (including Section 1256 treatment), K-1 and investor allocation processing, and regulatory filings such as FBAR, FATCA, and FIN48.
- Direct, verifiable experience building or delivering technology solutions for tax operations like platform features, workflow automation, or systems you helped design and ship with an engineering team.
- Ability to work independently and produce accurate output that holds up on subsequent reviews.
- Strong communication skills, with a track record of meeting client and internal commitments on time.
- An outstanding academic background and genuine interest in working in a high-tech software development environment.
