In this role, you will:

  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
  • Respond to e-mails or phone calls from members regarding our pension or post-retirement benefit plans.
  • Maintain member records in the system for pension and post-retirement benefits plans.
  • Support the administration of the Company’s defined benefit pension plans, such as pension adjustments, pension adjustment reversals, and annual pension statements.
  • Support the calculation and payment of defined benefit pension entitlements on retirement, termination, death and marriage breakdown.
  • Support other administrative tasks, such as reviewing and following up on returned pension paperwork, sending member communications, reconciling monthly member status reports, and payment of pension invoices.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science or related program (Mathematics, Statistics, Business).
  • Previous knowledge of defined benefit pension plans or pension plan administration is considered an asset.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and a self-starter
  • Superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize and work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Advanced Word and Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills

Salary: $4,117 - $5,192 CAD/month

Salary is commensurate with the number of academic semesters and prior co-op experiences completed.
